Good Morning,
I am new to this forum and thankfully have woken up migraine free today. I am taking a new med called Topomax and Imitrex, after coming off of Nortriptline. I was just wondering if any of you ever feel lonely, as far as people around you not understanding how much pain you are in sometimes. I hate it! I don't even want to answer verbally sometimes as the the thought of moving my vocal chords and forming words and thinking will make my head explode! And yet they keep on demanding you talk, and that you just need some sunshine, and some fun, and blah, bhal....... |

Welcome, TonkaSpririt!
I'm glad you are migraine-free today! I understand the lonely feeling about people not understanding what you are going through. I can be hard at times. I think the best thing to do is to try to share what you know about migraines with others. That's what I've done. I've printed off information and shared it with my family and friends. They have told me that they appreciated it and it has helped them to understand a little of what it going on when I have a migraine. I hope this is helpful. There is a lot of resources on this web site that I've used. If you haven't already gotten it, I would suggest getting Terri's book. |
