Hello community,
I am new here and have recently been diagnosed as having migraine associated vertigo or M.A.V. after 6 years of ENT Dr.'s giving me every diagnosis known to man. Finally one ENT sent me to a neurologist because my constant light and noise sensitivity did not improve even after my dizzy spells would end. I continued to get right side facial numbness and tingling and light sensitive episodes that really did not fit the other diagnosis. The neurologist gave me the MAV diagnosis. Especially since my Dad has always shared the same symptoms as me and my younger sister has typical migraine.
I get episodes frequently and am looking forwad to sharing information. Blinking

Welcome to the forum family Halfthere! Flower

I'm so happy you found us although I'm sorry you have the need to be here. You've come to the right place for accurate information and caring support.

Here are some articles to help you begin:

Learning About Migraines-Where to Start

Types of Migraines and Headaches

Do you keep a migraine diary? It's useful to track triggers, the effectiveness of medications and any patterns to your migraines. I put mine into Excel and print it for my migraine specialist.

Again, a very warm welcome and if you have any questions, just ask away!! Smiler
