So happy to finally have found an active forum! Have been lurking around for some time already and will be participating more actively now. already learned a lot from reading other's experiences.

so a little about myself. I am 22 years and from Norway but right now I am doing a degree in Forensic Psychology in England. Right now trying to find a job with my bachelor degree (which is done in 3 weeks) but nothing doing. I am qualified for nothing.. but I really need a year off. Hope I will find a job beeping groceries or something.

I have had migraines for as long as I can remember but the really tough headaches and nausea started when I was around 10. However I wasn't diagnosed and treated until I was 19. More on that later. Now I am on beta blocks to stop the onset of migraines and have 3 different medicines for when they do come. As it's only about 2 years since I was diagnosed and even heard about triggers so I am still trying to map them. So far I have overheating, oversleeping, too much soda, sun in my eyes and a specific red spaghetti sauce (just the one type). Luckily I have a great doctor who has migraine herself and really understands. We have had some trouble finding a medicine that relieves the seizures but I think we got there now. Fingers crossed!

Welcome to the forum, Kirsti!

I hope you will find the people and information helpful.

Sorry you have to be here, though. Razzer

There are a lot of great resources here. I'm sure one of the forum moderators will be along shortly to provide you with some useful links. Thumbs Up

Welcome to the forum family Kirsti Flower

I'm so happy you found us and you decided to post instead of lurk!

You've found a fantastic place for migraine information and support. Everyone here understands what you go through. I think it's great you have a doctor that can relate with you too.

I'll get you started with some helpful links:

Learning about Migraines-Where to Start

Types of Headaches and Migraines

And, a great tool for you and your doctor to help track triggers, the effectiveness of your medication and any patterns to your migraine is a migraine diary.

If you have any questions, just ask away!

Welcome again Smiler
