Hello, I have a daughter who is about to turn 5 with a diagnosis of over active bladder. She has never had any sort of a dry day. With medication, her accidents are down from 7 times a day to 2 a day. We have found out that our doctor wants to do a Urodynamics test on her. Coincidentally, we discovered this past weekend that when she has no milk, her accidents decrese and she is dry overnight- which has yet to happen. Has anyone heard or read about how milk tolerance impacts overactive bladder? If we don't have to do this test on her, we don't want to. But maybe it will give us more information. We have known for 2 years that she cannot tolerate milk to drink, but can tolerate it cooked. The weekend we noticed some sort of coincence was when she did not have oatmeal with regular milk- we used her soy milk.

Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

Becky

I commend you for seeking medical assistance for your daughter's condition! I personally don't know of a link between incontinence or overactive bladder and milk or dairy, but it certainly seems as if your daughter's body is trying to tell you something. Why not wait a couple of weeks for the testing, and during that time keep her off of all dairy and see what happens? Good luck!
