im new to this msg board, and i just wanted to share my success w south beach diet.
i was recomended this diet by my doctor when he told me that my cholesterol was extremely high. i was looking at facing heart disease quite soon if i kept living the way i was. i read the new heart book, and joined the online program. it really is a wonderful diet! and i feel so much better. after 3 months i lost 32lbs and i feel so much more energetic, almost like a 30yr old. i there are a lot of support online with the diet and great tasting recipes. i love going out to eat , so i purchased the dining out guide right away and it has been such a help! i dont have to sit and plan out where i can go and what i can eat when i have all the options in this guide.
i must admit, phase I is a bit tough, but when u know u need to get healthy u look right past that, and its only 2 weeks long, so its not that terrible.
i really recommend this diet to everyone, especially those looking to get heart healthy. i also try to do some kind of exercise 2-3times aweek.
