Joel,
First thing you must understand about psychotropic medications is that everyone is made up of a different chemistry and will react differently to them.
The last poster, MGL, has given you false information from what I'm sure is an unscholarly website and with no experience of being medicated with Wellbutrin. Please don't take the advice of someone that clearly has no medical background or personal experience with this drug and has resorted to looking it up on an incredible website.
I am a health professional and have also been medicated with Wellbutrin and I can tell you that I suffered from uncharacteristic anger, rage and mood swings and lost a few friends because of my horrendous behavior while taking it. I had complete loss of all control verbally and found myself using vulgarity with little restraint. I am disgusted with how I treated people while on this medication.
So, disregard what MGL has posted, your wifes behavior could certainly be drug-related and if you are able to speak with other individuals on Wellbutrin, I'm sure a few more would come forward with symptoms ,such as mine.
If she does talk to her doctor about these symptoms she is experiencing, he will most likely prescribe another medication to treat the symptoms of Wellbutrin. This seems to be a common trend with doctors and drug companies.
I didnt listen to my doctor and fill another prescription, instead, I had the common sense to realize that Wellbutrin does not work for everyone and it was clearly not working for me. I know my body better then my doctor and I'm not blindly falling prey to the financial gain the doctors and drug companies are receiving from over-medicating and treating symptoms from drugs with more drugs.
Good luck with your situation and I hope everything works out
