Depression

Depression hurts. I recently graduated from highschol and am attending out of state college as a freshman. For a long time during my adolescents I was considerably depressed. While i had mood swings like most kids my age it would go farther and I even slit my wrists a few times. But my depression would always fade and most of the time I would be totally normal. Now that I am away at college I feel it again, but worse. My whole life, no one i knew could understand this, because I have always been a very privledge person, wealthy, athletic etc. I have been perscribed so many medications in the past but nothing seems to work. Plus, the depression makes it really hard to meet people.

I know exactly how you're feeling. It was the same way for me when I got to college. My freshman year was emotional hell. It was the lowest I have ever been. If you haven't already, find out if your school has a councilling center. Mine has been really helpful. As far as medications go, it takes a while to find the right combination. But I would try your school counceling center...those are usually pretty good. If you need any help don't hesitate to drop me a line.
