I am new to this community... I do not know what to do anymore. I tried Lexapro, Prozac, and Zoloft and they never worked. A new doctor put me on 150 mg of Wellbutrin XL. Then 300. And now 450. Sometimes I wonder if I would feel better off of it completely. Does anyone experience this daily sobbing? It has been happening for months, maybe a year. It is so frustrating and I am starting to feel like I will always be this way. Any advice?
My wife has been on Wellbutrin XL for more than 5 months. Recently (past couple weeks) a new symptom of sobbing uncontrollably for no reason, or at least for no reason she will relate to me or, perhaps, she even knows herself, has developed. I think it might be the medication and that it might be doing as much harm as good.
I've researched side effects and indications, but have not really found anything to confirm my feelings/observations that I attribute to her medication.
I don't know what to think. It sure hurts to hear her cry......
Could it be antidepressants? I just came off Zoloft and I have been crying non-stop for a week and a 1/2; and its gut-wrenching sobs. I know I will feel better once its out of my system. But while I was on it, I really didn't feel anything, but I was on a very low dosage .25 and I still had horrible withdrawals. I have no idea and apparantly doctors don't know either. My doctor didn't know squat and was handing it out like candy.
I agree with mac82 - I found that whether I was on anti-depressants or going through withdrawal from coming off of them, I would have days of non stop crying - not even getting out of bed
I have these same crying episodes, only mine seem to come and go inspurts. I think a lot of it has to do with my stress level and how I am feeling. Usually whenever I am totally overwhelmed or feeling out of control. This is when my coping skills are in the toilet and I can't seem to do anything but cry.
