Depression

Hi,

I am brand new to this forum. I have been battling depression all my life. Sometimes I feel okay, maybe even good, but it doesn't last long. I am alone most of the time, my daughter is a teenager and she is always out with her friends. I was wondering is anyone knows of a webiste I can go to to finds a support group in my area? I really don't know if the on-line thing is going to do for me. I would rather meet people I can talk with and get to know. I think it would be a great help, especially in these tough times.

Dear Sharmarie, Celebrate Recovery groups can be located from the celebraterecovery.com website. Try it. There is a large group service for an hour then small groups women only and men only. You can listen or tell all about your pain. It helps alot to get it out. There will be compassinate people there with hugs and offerings of friendship, personal telephone numbers for support. Try to keep tabs on your daughter. Know her friends etc, you don't need more anxiety induced by discovering... I wish I could offer more help to you.
