Been depressed for years. Lately more so. Looking for an email friend. Someone to talk about things. Don't feel comfortable talking openly with people face to face. Hoping this would help.

I have been depressed for more than 10 years. Tried medical therapy with moderate or little benefit. Now, I have social phobia. I need people contact but not trying to work on that.
Can you beleive that? Looking for help, but it is not easy. Mornig bad mood is the worst thing. Now I work on sleep regulation. As a physician I have worked with many patients, many night duty jobs. Insomnia is my old friend. What about you and your problems. English is not my native language so sorry for mistakes.

I can be your email friend too- if you need more than one!

I have had cepression for 16 years now. Not good. I also geo eating disorders which peak and rough, but at the moment I am getting my grip back on it (for now!)
However, having changed my eating -and gained weight I have kick-started my depression.
I am at the momemts living at my mums flat which is tiny but it means I feel more able to cope. I find it a huge effort to get up, clean up, go to work...be social. While I dont have social phobia, I do avoid people as I feel really alone when they are suddenly not there anymore. Though abstanance is not a way of life, its becomming the only way I have been able to keep myself existing. But added to this problem is the fact I find it increasingly difficult to find a reason to carry on living when I feel so depressed and I am just existing in my flat by myself. Hence my temporary move to my mums! I can be friendly and nice to people I meet/work with, I make friends well, but it never extends to a proper or deep friendship. Needless to say relationships are out of the window!

Can I hgelp youy/can you help me? I have to go back to my flat soon as I think I am driving my mother and her partner slowly mad. (excuse the term) I am really scared of going home and being alone and getting depressed and feeling unable to cope or sleep or eat.

sorry- I'm not really selling myself here am I?! If you do want an email-friend my email is amillionsequins@hotmail.com
