Chronic Pain

Hello,

My name is Maria and I'm 27 yrs old in College Park, MD. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia at the age of 14. I've lived with pain for a very long time and not once have I ever felt as hopeless as I do now. Two years ago I started having back pain which began effecting my ability to work. I stopped working and started focusing on getting better but still have not figured out what is going on.

My story is what my doctor called extremely complicated. So, far I have the following conditions that run my life.
1. Fibromyalgia
2. Hypothyroidism
3. Bipolar II Disorder
4. Degenerative Disc Disease
5. Asthma
6. Sleep Apnea

Right now I'm so depressed and in so much pain I have not left my house in two weeks. I was granted disability just last month but that one incredible step has not made me feel any relief. I'm stressed and I'm alone. My husband does not want to talk to me and I look at my dogs everyday and cry because I cannot do anything with them. I need someone to talk to, someone who understands. I am so scared. The pain just keeps getting worse and I am so scared.

I like to welcome you to the Chronic Pain Connection! We're all very happy that you've found us and I hope we can be of some support & assistance for you.

We seem to be getting a lot more younger pain patients in the last few weeks. I feel so bad for all of you, your way to young to have to be dealing with this type of pain.

Your list looks similar to many of the rest of the people here, so your not alone and you don't have to feel so alone in your pain, there are alot of us out here and many willing to share our pain, treatments, etc. that we have tried, some have worked and others? not so much.
