I am very happy that such a forum exists. I live in a huge Texas city, but still feel lonely because of the chronic pain. Two doctors, plus all of the many, many articles read have convinced me that there is not a cure. However everyone concurs that there is relief.

I had the use of a morphine pump , albeit very short, in middle of December and the first few days of december. The relief was far more than wildest dreams. It became infected and was removed. My PM has agreed to try again, the near future.

I have many questions, for example do you continue your oral meds.

Your replies are very much apprecciated. Thank you.

Ag on the Dl:
welcome! I am so glad you do know the joy of a morphine pump. I have both a pump and a stimulator. You can look in the next group "general discussion/questions " there is a 50+ page of intrathecal pump questions and answers. This forum is run by Bob in Hawaii, and he and everyone else will help you with your questions. When you post there, please be specific with your questions, besides if you continue on oral meds. Which by the way the answer to is yes, for breakthru pain. Your doc may change or adjust dossage but you still will need orals, just hopefully not as many. Good Luck and again Welcome!
