I am 35 and living with chronic pain due to lupus and either fibromyalgia or sacroiliitis, dr.'s cant agree on that. All I know is I take 5 different pain drugs per day that are stronger than morphine and a pain patch, too. They are going to inject a local anesthetic/steroid solution into my sacroiliac joints this Thursday. I have mixed feelings on if this will help, but am willing to try. I am really interested in the morphine pump, but don't know how to ask about it without sounding like a druggie.

I hope everyone is functioning with minimal pain today and wish you an even better tomorrow.

Good Morning Diana

It's a plesure to meet you, but I'm very sorry it had to be on a chronic pain site.

Welcome to the chronic Pain Connection, I hope you find the same great friendships & support that I have found here and it appears like your jumping right in and that is really great. We are all happy that you've found us and hope you'll be back to visit more.

It sounds like you've got a medical team who are willing to work with you and prescribe some meds for some relief and that actually is a big part of everyones battle, who struggle in chronic Pain.

It's really hard to Yea or Nay many of the procedures that docs are willing to try with each individual. We all seem to be very different in what combination of meds and also injections/procedures, etc will help each of us.

I have had some injections that do help me temporarily, but don't seem to last more than a few months, but for some people they last from 6 months to a year and you might be one of those patients. Smiler

If you have multiple causes of your pain, and it sounds like you do. then its kind of a bummer to get the procedure/injections done and they only help a portion of your pain, but then again, I'm normally happy with mine, because they help me to walk better and that's a very big help for my functionality. Wink

I hope you have a very nice Sunday and are able to do something enjoyable
See you soon
Betty
