Hi Everyone! I am happy to have found this site... it is very informative, and I am looking forward to meeting some of you and sharing some experiences and ideas on how we manage and cope with chronic pain.
For so long, I felt all along and that no one understood how I feel. At times, of course, I still feel that way, but knowing that there is a community like this, where we can share our experiences and support one another, is very comforting to me.
I have had pain for about 15 years, I guess. I had a anterior-posterior fusion of the lumbar spine about 12 years ago. It was not successful for me, and my pain has only gotten worse through the years. In the past two years, it became unbearable for me. I had a neurostimulator put in my back in Feb of this year... it is amazing the amountof pain relief I have from it, but I still have alot of pain. I have found it helpful to join groups such as this for education and support of dealing with chronic pain. Thanks for having me, and I look forward to getting to know ya'll.

Blessings and Peace to you! Missy

Hi Missy,

We're so happy to have you here with us. It does make such a difference to have others to talk with who are experiencing some of the same problems with pain. As much as friends and family may care, it's virtually impossible to really understand what it's like to live in constant pain unless you've experienced it yourself.

I enjoyed your joke in the Off Topic section! Laughter is so important. Not only does it help raise our spirits, but it's actually healing for our bodies. Thanks for sharing.
