hello everyone, i dont know where else to turn, so i found this forum almost by accident. for the last 5 months i've been having all these symptoms pretty much everyday, with few exceptions:
severe headaches
blurred vision
light-headness
dizziness
fainting
insomnia
neck and shoulder pain
shaking and tingless all over
vomiting
chest and stomach pain
shortness of breath
tightening of chest
all of the pain all over my body is shooting, flaring, sharp, and chronic at the same time

i've been to the ER atleast 4 times, and seen many, many doctors and done many, many tests. all of the doctors have no clue what i have, and all of the tests come back normal. that being the case, i have not been disagnosed with anything, because no one can. so, i dunno if this is the right place for support or not, cuz i cannot tell anyone what illness i have, only my symptoms. but i dunno what else to do, the ER wont take me in cuz they dont know what to do, i cant take any medicine cuz they dont know what meds to give me. so, i am in extreme and agonizing pain right now, lonely and in tears. I've tried everything i can think of: meditation, hot tea, hot water bottles, healthy diet, streching, etc. I'm only 19, people say i am too young to be this sick and falling apart, I have been close to dying many times. Plz someone reply back, anyone, say anything, i dont care, i just need support cuz i have no one.

Hello Idris

Welcome to the Chronic Pain Connection! We are all very happy that you found us and I sincerely hope that we can be of some help and support for you.

We all have one or more types of chronic pain illness and your not alone in not having a diagnosis yet. It some times takes years for a pain patient to find a doctor willing to give or figure out a diagnosis for these types of illnesses. So please don't let that bother you, as your not alone in that fact either. Wink

I'm very sorry that your in pain and having to deal with all this garbage, but comments like your too young at 19 to be in so much pain, are pretty much useless. I say that because, your 19 and in pain, so apparently NOT!
Pain knows no boudaries, age, statis in life or fiancial stabilities. It does not care and can inflict any human at any point in their natural life. Age has no basis at all. We have quite a number of young people on this site who are dealing with painful conditions and some of them have for most of their lives.

Your welcome to join into any of our ongoing conversations or you can create your own. Your welcome to share as much or as little as your comfortable with.

We have a small support group called the daily grind in the OFF TOPIC area of this forum and your also welcome to join us any time if your interested. We just want you to know that we care about you, your pain and how your dealing with it and many of us who've been dealing with pain for several years, can possibly help you to learn to deal with doctors apts to help you get more out of them and also help you with suggestions to try to give you more comfort along the way. We all have our own home remidies and tricks to help us deal with our pain and no two people are alike, you just need to begin trying all kinds of stuff and hopefully with our help, we can suggest & find you some things to help you till you can get on some type of treatment plan.

WE CARE
Lotsa Gentle Hugs
Betty

thank you for replying.
Oh wow....it sometimes takes years? oh no, that is not good. oh yeah, now i see, that comment was pretty dumb. but im glad someone cares....cuz my doctors don't. they think im making lots of things up, so, i cant get any treatment right now. and i still hurt now, all the time, ive tried lots of things, tea, relaxing, streching, hot water bottles, etc, but nothing seems to help. If you could give me some suggestions, anything at all, that'll be great cuz i'm desperate. I cant believe there's some people who have been dealing with this for years. I'm trying to find treatment, but, as you probably know, thats very hard, especially since I cannot drive that well when I'm sick. And i'm all alone.

Hi Idris

Welcome sweatie, please find someplace to go outside, take a deep breath, sit and listen to the birds for 10 to 15 minutes. Relax, you seem like a type A personality, go, go, go. Many of us were also, but with pain, comes experience, comes age, comes patience. The more hyper you become, the more stressed you become, the more you are exaserbating your pain. This you do not need.
So, take a deep breath. You need to keep a pain diary, you know write down when you have pain, and why if you have an explantion. What you think may make it worse, or better. This is important when going to see any doctor regarding your problems and may give a key to diagnosing something for you. Also, be mindful of what you eat, does anything in that direction cause you more pain?
I cannot stress enough to you and if you read many of the posts thruout this site you will see, that STRESS WILL MAKE IT WORSEYou have a long life ahead of you. You need to address this current situation intleigently and logically which is difficult in any circumstance, but can be done. When you are armed with information, we have all found that doc's will tend to take you more seriously. Good Luck

Thank you, Nan of the Dunes, for such a nice post. It made me feel less alone and sad. I'm definalty not the type A personality, lol, but i appreciate the effort.
I know....stress makes pain a lot worse. but i cannot escape or deal with my stress, it is part of my life, i cannot get rid of it, sadly. sorry.
But I do keep a pain diary, of how many hours i slept, what i ate, what symptoms and how bad were they, etc.
sadly, (i think i said this in a earlier post,) i cannot find any doctors in my area who will take me seriously....no one has a clue what disease i have, so.....i am suffering by myself, with no treatment or meds, and i dont know how 2 get out of this.

take a deep breath
