I'm sorry you haven't gotten any responses yet. Sometimes the weekends are a little slow, especially in the summer and over holidays since people are traveling and doing other things more. I even occasionally take a weekend off, as I did this weekend. I had saved your original post to replay to today, but I'll just reply here if you don't mind.

First, welcome to ChronicPainConnection. There really are a lot of wonderful people here, despite our slow start with you. Of course, I'm sorry you have a reason to need to be here, but we're happy to have you join our little community. On top of your long-term chronic pain, it sounds like you've really been through some extra rough times lately.

There are a couple of ongoing threads here on the forum that you might be interested in. One is an excellent support group in the Off Topic section called “The Daily Grind.” It's a great group of friendly people who chat with and encourage one another regularly. The moderator of the group goes by Betty Boop Too. She's a really sweet, caring lady who will make you feel very welcom. Just click on the current month and join the discussion. The other thread is related to pain pumps. I noticed you said you have one and will be getting a bigger one. There is an excellent ongoing thread entitled “Willing to share experience with intrathecal morphine pump implant” that was started and is maintained by Bob Englebardt. That's where everyone gathers to discuss anything to do with intrathecal pain pumps. It's a pretty long thread, but rest assured your post will be read and answered. I hope the pneumonia is improving. I know it's really rough to be sick on top of chronic pain problems. Please keep us posted on how you're doing and let us know if there's anything we can do to help.
