Hi - I usually am posting in the daily grind, but since this is a general discussion board i thought i woudl share the chronic pian and fatigue that us MSer's suffer from 24-7 ... i must add i have also been dx'd with fibro, migraines and some arthiritis ... pardon the spelling ..
i had lumbar disc problems for years and dealt with it , then disc problems in my neck (cervical567) , and handled that .. but got knocked for a loop with Multiple Sclerosis ..
when i was first dx'd back in 01 , no pain was associated with MS .. none. But i had migraines , what felt like joint pain and just overall pain in about 16 areas that i never had .. my nuero sent me to a rhuemotologist and she not only treated me for the pain but she believed it was related to the MS ...
Now there are hundreds of thousands here in the states alone that are suffering from chronic pain and numbness. 2.4 million worldwide , all different, all searching for any easing of pain they can find.
I had a major relapse in 05 and am now just getting used to all the "new" symptoms, and the exagerated old. It is very difficult, it is numbing and it is scary.
I am one of the fortunates that have Relapsing Remitting MS, and it is considered mild, so i cannot imagine my MS friends who have SPMS, secondary progressive; PPMS , primary progressive .. as well as other modes in between.
The one thing i can do is empathize with all of you because we have one thing in common .. Chronic Pain ...
I see all types of people here and just thought i would add to the mix .. as the MS site here doesnt have a forum like these .. we do have our shareposts and talk thru messaging , but sometimes it is so much nicer to actually hear about others ways of dealing with chronic pain and fatigue ..
So, that it for now .. but i will be back, as i am more of a reader than a writer .. and unless i feel welcome i won't post .. just read ... thanks -
