Heya Stefany, Sorry to hear about your adventure, and sorry I'm so late in posting. It's strange, I had a kidney infection hit out of the blue a few weeks ago myself. I just held out til my doc appt. There are a few things that you can do in the mean time to help you over the hump of those infections. I can't drink fountain drinks ever! I get one everytime I do. And mine start from the kidneys and then work to bladder then urinary tract instead of the way it works for most ppl. I tried Uristat (sp) for the first time with this one until my appt, and it seemed to help some. I also do an old wives thing that has been approved by my doc. Put a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water and chug it. The baking soda coats the tract so that you dont have the pain and burning. I also alternate between cranberry and cherry juice and lots and lots of water. As for the ER thing, the insurance I have now will only cover 50% if it isn't a life or death situation, so no ER for me unless I'm dying. I hope you're feeling better now and that your reg doc has you all straightened out! Take Care
Chrissy

Wow Stef, Sorry to hear about all the infections. I know what a bitch they can be. Mine started at about that age also. When I was younger, I had strep throat which went to scarlett fever. I've never been totally tested, but the doc at the time seemed to wonder if I didn't have some sort of kidney damage from it. I hope and pray that yours never get that bad again. I just can't imagine. So, yours start in kidneys too huh? I really hope you're being careful with the meds you're on that can irritate the kidney's. Have you ever been tested for kidney stones? Just being nosey sorry! Please take care, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that you don't have to ever go through another one again. Take Care,
Chrissy
