Hello & Welcome MSbackpain I really hope you've found a doctor by now. I'm not really sure why, but the govt gives us medicare & medicade and then most the doctors out there don't even take it???? I've heard so many times, how people are not able to find a doctor when they have medicaid or care and I think it's just horrible. This is definately a situation we need to advocate for and get changed. I thinking about you and hope you've found a doc before you run out of meds. Take Care, please let us know how your doing Betty
Do not be dismayed by toil or suffering, nor by the meager fruit of your labors. Remember that God rewards not according to results, but effort.

I need to find a new doctor and have been unable to find one that takes Alabama Medicaid. There is no Medicaid directory of pain management doctors. I already have a doctor that will do my epidurals but I can't find one that will write out my prescriptions. I don't want to abruptly stop the patch. If anyone knows of a doctor in Alabama that takes Medicaid PLEASE send me his/her name. I am on SSI and cannot afford a "self-pay" doctor -each wants between $250 & $490 for a first visit. Thanks!
