Im also having alot of trouble finding an understanding doctor. I have been treated for my degenerative disk disease with norco for years when i lived up in the white mountains of arizona by an understanding PCP. Now that i have moved to mesa, AZ my first attempt to find a new pcp has been humiliating. No treatment for two weeks, Urine sample, etc... Well the UA came back clean as i knew it would since im not an abuser yet he still refuses to prescribe anything other than tramadol which is next to useless for me. Can anyone point me in the right direction in finding a caring doctor here where your not looked down on for a needed and established treatment that works? Thanks in advance for your time.

Addendum: I was laid off from my job at the end of 2008 and lost all my benefits. I do not have the finances to do a hit or miss approach to finding a doctor that actually cares.
