You're very fortunate to be going to the DFW area. Dr. John Claude Krusz of Anodyne Headache and PainCare in Dallas is probably the best, most caring and understanding pain specialist I've ever known. People travel across the country to see him. You can check out his Web site to learn more about his practice: Anodyne Headache and PainCare Dr. Krusz is also a medical advisor for our ChronicPainConnection site and answers questions for our Ask the Expert feature. I hope this helps and your husband is able to find the pain care help he needs. Karen

Karen's recommendation sounds good. If that doesn't work out, try Dr. Loftus of Bellaire Neurology in Bellaire, TX, part of Houston, TX. It's a way to travel but worth it. He's not only a neuro surgeon but has a degree in chemical engineering and knows about medicines and their side effects very well. He'll tell you in advance of possible side effects and work with you. He'll never treat you like you're a pain addict and he'll even refill other doctors prescriptions if he agrees they're good for you. He also answers his emails, which are rare these days and does phone consultations when you can't make it to an office visit, although you are charged for those. He's very intelligent and caring. Also, if Lyrica makes you tired, you might ask about Neurotin, a once a night dose. I had the same problem and thought Neurotin would do the same thing cause they're both nerve medicines and it does make me feel weird if I take it three times a day, which sometimes I need. But once a day, it helps me sleep and helps the pain without side effects.-aimes

hi i've used PhoneConsultation.com for my pain meds and they deliver within 3 days. This website is face to face doctor visit, has anyone else experienced this new face to face thing? I guess f2f is the way forward, however I do miss the old over the phone prescriptions
