I was speaking to Stacy the other night, and when I mentioned this she suggested that I post it on here for everyone else to read.

There is a drug price war going on right now between Target and Walmart. For those of you who don't have prescription coverage on your insurance, or not very good coverage, you should know that Target has the cheaper meds right now. I hope that helps some of you!

Thanks for pointing this out, Stefany.

On a related note, has anyone tried taking advantage of the Wal-Mart $4 generic drug deal? I haven't been able to get a sense of whether the generic drugs they offer at this price are really the ones that people would use the most. I believe Target might be doing something similar with really low prices on certain generics.

I'm not entirely sure about that one. I've heard of it, but never taken advantage of it myself. I'll ask around a little though, and post again if I find out anything either way.

Just looked at that list. I really appreciate you posting that link, because I was starting to wonder how I was going to afford my Prednisone. But they have it on the list! Thanks!

Unfortunately there's no Target in my town, but I do use the Wal-Mart generic program for my tramadol and it saves me quite a bit of money every month.

For anyone who doesn't have insurance, be sure to check out PPARx. They will connect you with any programs you qualify for for that offer free or reduced priced medications.

Here's a link to where you guys can see the prescriptions on Target's $4 generic drugs list.

I think it's mostly the same as Walmart's, but there looks to be a few things that are different.
