ok i went to a dentist cause for months my jaw on the left side would hurt still does...... he said because i could stick 3 fingers in my mouth and it wasnt locked i dont have any problems... other than a lil infection in a upper left wisdom tooth .... my bite is off the joint itself hurts if u rub it... it pops, and now im starting to get sharp shooting pains in my left ear..my ear is stuffy... i dunno what else to do..
Reagan, It definiately sounds like you have something going on. You have a lot of symptoms that are related to a TMJ disorder. If I were you and the pain persists, I would make an appointment with a dentist or doctor that specializes in TMJ management. Some dentist take special classes that help them learn and manage the disease. Hope this helps, and the pain is alleviated soon
hi everyone, i am miserable my self. i have been in grid lock with my jaw for two days after 4 terrible days of greuling constant clicking no one on my insurance from pcp to denttist treats tmj haven't eaten solid food in 3 days. the ER is no gaurentee that they will do any xray or MRI. may just do exam diagnosis and say: "you have TMJ" and send me some where else.....i feel all your frustration and am at the end of my rope no relief in site pcp who is on call must still be on the green no return call. pain management won't touch this problem i am shocked have had tmj X 16 years this has been the worst exaserbation to date. any suggestions?????
raegan, i know the feeling i have shooting pain from the midline of my chin to my ear, my hair hurts. try cotton in the ear sometimes helps if you can manage last night too painful for that. good luck!
