Hi Marie,

Do you by any chance take an antidepressant for your fibromyalgia? One of the common side effects of antidepressants, although not often mentioned, is sweating. A number of people with FM who take an antidepressant complain of excessive sweating. If you think that might be your problem, talk with your doctor about trying you on a different type of antidepressant. Often a different antidepressant or even a lower dosage will do the trick.

I hope that helps.

Hi Karen.
I believe some of my meds might complicate things. When I started that around the time I was found having thyro. nodules the internist took me off all medication .Even ASA or Aceta. Then I was taking Elavil as migraine preventive and lots of thyl.3. After a month I was still sweating. I went back because elavil worked for my migraines then 10 MG. I saw my sleep dr. 6 weeks ago and he cut off the elavil slowly I went alone but I know it did not work before. No changes except I have a hard time sleeping and many migraines AWWGGrrr. The weather is not helping either
After left thyroidectomy I went really hypo and had to take supplement. I was dx with fibro 3 years after, I know that my that my ANS is recked, too many years of pain maybe.
Now the only meds I am taking are thyr supp. MSContin and very few PRN's I decresed a lot of my meds and stopped most of the migraine OTC preventive to realized that it did not change much, except for the elavil.
What do you think of Cymbalta ? I might have to go back on something in that line, might as well try it now that they say it can help fibro. It doesn't scare me as much as the Neurotin or Lyrica.
By posting I was just hoping to get some good ideas on how to escape the sewating, by the way my body temp. is only 96.8 and I sweat like....
Thanks for your reply.
Hugs. Marie
