Hi, I have TMJ. I have a sevre case of Vertigo. That right now aside from the clicking and popping and minor pains is the most debilitating for me right now. I havent had any treatments yet but its in the works. I cant wait. Being dizzy all the timee is starting to make me depressed. I just had a baby, well she is 5 months now and a 5 year old son. I had a very bad anxiety attack last night due to the dizzy spells. I'm misearble and in tears all the time. We are going to Florida but I dont think I can make it.
The specialists that I'm going to see is 35 mile away. He is an neuromuscular dentist. Only 2 in my state of Michigan. There is a lot of dentist that offers TMJ relief but I wanted to see someone that specialize in this TMJ. I've read some of the post but not all. I haven't seen anyone that is experiencing vertigo as a side effect. Is there anyone seeing a neuromuscular? and is it working?
Candiee

Hi! March 07 I had shingles of the ear and have played off the pain as post-neurolgic (sp?) pain until I spoke with a retired TMJ specialist. I suffer with daily dizziness along with jaw/ear pain. I wouldn't call it vertigo, but it is bad enough I wonder about driving sometimes and then there are times where I just wish my head would clear up! VERY frustrating! I also have cloudy vision with the dizzy. Additionally, I ache...sometimes all over...and the jaw/ear pain gets so bad that by the end of the day, I feel ill all over. I am also just beginning treatment; saw a TMJ Specialist Wed and will get mouthpiece tomorrow and begin therapy. I truly hope this works!?!?!
