Hi there, I'm new to this site, but I'm not new to TMJ. I've had jaw popping and clicking for as long as I can remember, but my main problem started in Feb. 2004. My right disc slipped and ended up putting so much pressure on my right cheek muscle that my muscle tore. My jaw then shifted back and 3cm to the right. This ended up doing nerve damage and started causing migraines along with my jaw locking at 7mm. I had an Arthrocentesis in April of 2005, after trying an orthosis splint for a year. All of that time I had been on a soft food, liquid diet. I did well after my Arthro, but the migraines never went away. I was then told by my OMFS to see a Neurologist. I've been seeing him since Aug. 2005. I've tried med after med for that. This past Aug. (2006), my jaw went out again. I've since then been seeing the Neuro, Chiropractor, PT, and now a Pain Management Clinic for my chronic pain, and situation depression. I'm here to get support and talk to people who have been through and understand what it's like to live with this daily. I'm also here to meet new friends and offer and be offered support.

Hi Chrissy. I am new to the site but not to TM pain as well. I just had vertical mandibular osteotomy surgery a few weeks ago after joint spacing injections, and 2 splits. I am hoping to make some friends at this new site.
Wohoo! I'm here! Looking forward to chatting with you all again and meeting new members as well.
