I was told that I have TMJ disorder for twelve long painful years. In the end, it was actually temporal tendonitis of the long and short tendon.
I had surgery last week. The pain is gone. Is there anyone out there who has had the RF procedure and can help me cope with the fear of the pain returning, the emotions of actually having a future, and being scared that the surgery soreness will never leave???
My family expects me to jump and leap and start enjoying life. What they don't understand is that I don't know how. I am completely being re-born. And the fear is overwhelming me.
Hi Traci I haven't had the surgery you had,so I can't really help you -but I'm interested in what the surgery did. I have had TMJ for about 11 years. I do not have trouble with the joint or disc, but my muscles are in constant spasm. I take it your Pain really limited your life style?
Sorry I can't help by sharing my experience, but would love to learn about your surgery.
I do hope your healing has gone well and you are feeling better each day!!
