Hello everyone -

How are things? Just wanted to say hi and see what everyone is up to. Quiet around here eh? Let's start chatting!! LOL.

I am up, it's 6am and I'm up.. been up for an hour. This is typical these days. Lucy is usually getting me up anywhere between 4-6, which is fine.. I feed her and she goes back to sleep but then the problem is I'm wide awake. My pain has been pretty crummy lately... muscles are either completely locked up or in full spasms lately. Two months of my baby aerobics has caught up with me. I have a phone appt. with my pain doc today so we'll see what options I have.

Anyhow, today is going to be hard... Lucy's first vaccinations and I'm dredding it. I think it will be harder for me than her! I have the baby tylenol ready!! I'm praying she doesn't have a reaction to the shots, as some babies do... it will be a long few days for us if she does. Wish us luck.

I've had family here all week, and they just left. It's pretty hard to entertain right now between the pain, sleep deprivation, and the schedule (or lack of) of an infant. So after they left yesterday Lucy and I had a pajama party day, and we laid in my bed and slept most the day... it's was nice and relaxing, some great bonding time, and much needed sleep!!

What has everyone else been up to?

I'm looking forward to the weekend, looks like it's going to be sunny and warm. We didn't get lots of snow this week like they thought, but the flooding wasn't fun. It was like driving home from work in a maze most of the week, one road closure after another. I think mold allergies are kicking in because of all the water.

Hopefully I'll get to break in some new cycling shoes on Saturday. Depends on whether or not the roads are dry.

Wow Alex, sounds like you've had quite the adventures in water! LOL. When will summer arrive already?? geez! I hope you get to go running this weekend too!

Our appt. went ok... I swear it was soooooo hard to listen to her get those shots. I couldn't hold her, dh had to do it, and I was there shutting my eyes, but the change in her cry told me when it happened and she had to get 3 shots in a row. Just pure hell for me! ugh. I scooped her up afterwards but she was just plain P.O'd by then! Poor baby.. I don't blame her. Anyhow, she's resting now and we had a very up and down night so I'm about ready to fall over myself...

Hope to hear from more people! Happy Friday!!

I miss the chats too.

Been a busy week. I'm working on a final exam essay right now for a night class. It's the last class I need to finish my undergraduate computer science degree. It's amusing since I've worked as a senior level engineer for six years or so, with another six years as a non-senior engineer. After this essay, I can enjoy my free time again.

I see a new surgeon on Wednesday. Looking forward to it, hopefully I'll finally make some progress. The pain is bad, I'm exhausted everyday, and I think just about every joint in my body hurts now. Ugh. I'm not sure how much longer I can force myself to get up in the morning. I've got the surgeon and graduation to look forward to, so at least I have some motivation. Pretty nuts that I'm looking forward to seeing another doctor

How's everyone else?
