Hi Chuck,

isn't it so cool to surf the Web outside on the deck ... I knew you'd enjoy it.

Well Good afternoon pain friends

Gosh, Mark! I'm really sorry for poor melissa's difficulties. I hope the hospital was able to give her some meds to make her more comfortable and their tests will help you out more. I'll be lighting a candle & offering prayers for her too. YOu must be exhausted and worried sick. How is your pain?? There's alot of stress in this kind of issues with the worries over your sick little girl too. My thoughts & prayers are also with you. We're all here for you if you need to talk, vent or anything else. You know how to find me. Wink

Well, I was so happy yesterday, getting to get a few things done and having a pretty good day was a real blessing for the body & the heart & mind.
I'm pretty painful today, but it's kind of a good type of pain. Atleast I know why I have it and can still think of the fun I had yesterday.
I recently shared an article that I printed out that pain patients are supposed to share with their family. I'm really happy with the change lately in Rods reaction & opinion/exceptance & understanding of my pain. He's really made some amazing steps forward and has made me feel so much more loved and excepted. He seems to be understanding the sometimes delayed responses to pain and why when I've been to Helens and get home and thats all I am able to do for the day. He even told me that he noticed all the things I did around the house yesterday, said he appreciated it and the house looked nice when he got home. then he asked me if I would just stay quiet today and not worry about the house, so we maybe can visit when he gets home tonight. This might seem dumb to some people, but this is a big step in our relationship for him to start thinking ahead of how the pain effects me and the delayed pain response when I push myself at all. He likes to snuggle, and he knows if I'm in too much pain I cannot snuggle at all, it's too painful. There's been a few more things he's said in the past couple of weeks, like asking me not to bathe the bigger dogs, he'll help me on his days off and such.
I know there will still be times when he expects me to be able to do things that I can't or he'll forget and say something rediculous. But the matter that he's trying to better understand how all this works, just helps alot and I'm very thankful.

Chuck; I cannot wait till I can take my puter out on the back patio and watch the birds scamper around and the dogs lay in the sun. I have a hundred feet of phone line I can stretch out, so I'm sure I can do it. Big Grin
I was thrilled with the warm temp yesterday, but we're back to rain & drizzle today.

Adrian; How you doing dear? I hope the snow and cold does not get you down too bad. Talk to you afterbit hon.

Hugs to you all
Betty

Good Evening Friends,
It was a very nice day here a little breezy,
but warmer than it has been in a wfile. Took a nice long walk, and spent some time on the deck. First time I ever surfed the net outside and can't wait to do it some more.
We've ordered some patio stuff and a new
grill is in order this year.
But, tomorrow it's back to the cold and rain.
I'm paying for today some what but, it was well worth it.
Mark, I hope Melissa is doing better. I know what its like having to watch one of your own down with illness. I'd rather be sick my self than one of my kids, the helpless feeling is the worst for me.
I wish her and you the best and a speedy
recovery.
Betty, I'm you and Rod have found that understanding. It does make life so much easier for all concerned. Knowing that your partner accepts that your pain is real means alot, it's
kinda like validation I guess.
I was begining to think mine was in my head til I went to the Neuro-surgeon and he explained it to me and went over the MRi with me, I felt like a weight was lifted off of my shoulders.
Adrian, did the weather get ya down??
Time for night meds.
Hope all have a good night and Melissa gets to
stay home instead of the er.
Chuck

Good Nite All,

Thanks Betty for yours prayers and offers to help. I'm glad to hear that Rod has become more understanding of your pain. That is the type of thing that's come out of marriage counseling so far ... Audrey has become more understanding of my daily pain and limitations. Melissa is doing better tonight (thank God)

Thanks Chuck for your understanding and support. If it were possible, I wish I could take Melissa's Lyme Disease away and I glady add it to my other illnesses, since she is so young and has so much of her life ahead of her.

Adrian, I hope that you are doing well and I appreciate your prayers and good thoughts too.

I wish you all a peaceful low-pain night.

Mark

Good day eveyrone - ooh I was off by a whole day .. not really funn , huh ? Thiking today was actually Monday .. as Sunday is usually my no thinking day .. guess I should stop that , giggle ...

I am so happy that Melissa is feeling a bit better , my thoughts exactly , I sometimes care so much that I would gladly take their pain so they don't have to suffer, and I alrady have pain so what is one more ?

Yes Chuck, that snow surprised me, and cold , but life must go on .. was a bit guilty thinking of mom, it's been a week of not talking to her .. after going on 51 years of communicating with the woman in mmy life , but my friends quickly turned that around by sending me prayers and messages of mirth ..

Guilt, the built in moment spoiler .. I am still learning to live my life after all these years .. now after reading the posts here yesterday, I realized that I want to be able to si outside or at the park and do this .. I was checking into see if there was something to run this on, as the battery doesn't last too long, it is suppose to last longer than the others but who knows ..

lol .. Betty , it was more like boredom .. giggle .. and being off by a day , I got too much rest .. giggle .. today is going to be a warmer 57 degs. and sunny .. not quite as nice as last week , but I may head to the park and walk ..

I was messin with my live space page and don't like it .. so I want to fix it , again .. giggle .. added a photo of the first Church on Mykonos .. it is blurry , and I figured out why .. as they are small due to I took them from my pages on here in the thumbnail size .. so I am going to work on that .. made a few recordings , and videos and pics with my webcam , non for showing .. giggle ..

Mark, I received the message but it was not in wma, or wva ? form like the first so I couuldn't open it properly and saved it instead, and now I can't find it .. so that is another project ..

was trying too ad voice and picutre to windows live , what a mas of garbled info .. they have a statement, you click to get it and it becomes a mass of products and info I just can't focus ..

I will get it , and it is free , but when you get there they want you to buy camera and mic, which i already have on this .. then I click the space saying built-in and it is for Vista, the says not compatible .. I do not like arguments , especailly with inanimate objects .. my dogs respond quicker .. lol

So forgive for missing out yesterday as I was thinking , Sunday .. duh ? on me ... lol

Going for cup #2 , talk with you all later on,

Adrian

Good Morning pain gang
I'm up and kind of moving this am. I have to take Helen to get her hair done! (it's Tuesday again) Remember how women got their hair done once a week and then just picked it the rest of the week. Well, that's my Helen, being 93, she's not noticed the change in fashion/style, etc. And she gets her hair done by the same gal for the past 40 years. lol

Feelin pretty good, so far, so good! Pain is down to about a 3 this am. That's fantastic for me. So I'm gonna go get ready & dressed.

I hope you all have a nice day. I also wanted to let you know, I'm going to create a new thread tonight, so please look for it when you log in tomorrow and please post in the new thread in the am. Thanks guys

I hope you all have a good day, please let us know how melissa is doing friend Mark. I'll be thinking of you all today and hoping you enjoy your day.

Big Hugs
Betty

Hey Gang,

Betty, I'm so glad that your pain level is down to a 3 -- that's awesome!

All, as I was telling Adrian earlier, Melissa has Mono on top of her having Lyme ... right now she's napping peacefully. Her teachers, except for one, are being very supportive of her staying home while she is ill.

Adrian, thanks for everything you said! ... you are absolutely right about this being a great opportunity for me to show Melissa how much I love her and care about her. Betty referred to her in a shared post as "Sweet Melissa" and that's the very same name of the song (from the Allman Bros.) that inspired her name to begin with, when she was born.

Chuck, I hope that you're having a great day.

I'll check back in later.

Greetings All,
Long day for me today, my wife had a dr's appt
this morning at 830 so, I got up at 6 to have
coffee and meds. For as nice as it was yesterday
it's all dark and gloomy today, even some thunder
and lightning going on.
Pain's a lil higher than normal but, not too bad.
We have some possible snow flurries in the morning,
ya just never know.
Adrian, you might check your performance level on
your lappy, or maybe there's a power saver mode.
I'm still workin on the space too, I put all
my tunes on there but, I can't figure out if
there supposed to play from there??
On my front page I saw where you changed your
blog but, when I clicked on it I couldn't find it.? The info on live space is confusing to me too, looks they couyld do it better than that.
Betty, congrats on the low pain levels. I'll
looked for the new thread.
Mark, my daughter had mono when she was a freshman in college and was miserable for some time with that it's rough. All my best.

Hi guys and gals .. giggles - yes I switched myself back on .live to the big PC .. ir is easier to navigate .. I will explore the site set up from here and then give it a revamp on my laptop ..

I sent an invitation to y'all to show you where I am .. that I set up years ago .. but it is great .. I have it up just have to turn off the on the phone signal .. giggle .. as I was on the phone and missed out on having a conversation with Mark about Melissa ..

SO, that is where I am headed now .. Chuck , sorry about the gloomy, but glad your pain level is not too bad, Batty "you go girl" enjoy these days when you are less in pain ..

Mark, well, you already know how I feel about your situatio, wish we could do or say more .. but as I said , we all had our childhood illnesses , most of the children today get vaccinated for whta we had to go thru .. I will never forget those sugar cubes filled with the polio vaccine , they were awful ..

You would think that with mono being around, I had it as a teen , 16 actually, then pnuemonia , it was awful .. that there isn't a cure or preventative mecine for it .. just keep her bundled , safe and chicken soup will help .. her immune system is in distress from the Lymes' so keep an eye on her ... your a good dad .. as Audrey , I am sure is a great mom ... ttyl .. "The Greek " .. lol
