Good morning .. I got a little lost getting here as they are still showing the May grind .. lol ..

Well, today should be a productive day for all .. with people returning home to loved ones , and others moving on , we make a cool mix ...

Listening to mixed media , and using the lappy now .. PC getting packed , large wall hangings, pictures , mirrors , etc ...

Gonna get the Jeep washed off and vacuumed today, I hope .. gotta kick my own butt in gear .. lol ..

Hoping that I can also finish re-packing of a few boxes from storage ... if not then tomorrow ..

Betty , I too must empty my MBdrm Bath closet which holds a bit of clothes and pack up what I am taking, and bagging what I am giving away ... the rest will just go into vacuum bags and we will see ...

Not much stuff to pack , but kitchen , and will do this with Mom ... the patio has to be packed and cleaned and organized ...

Sounds like a lot , but it really is not ... just seems like it ..

I hope we hear today from Chuck about Bobbi, and from Mark of Audreys' return home ...

Okay, been arranging in between coffe and writing , so I will check back in a bit ..

A

Good Morning All!

Well, how time flies ... I can't believe that we're on our June thread already. I picked up Audrey last night and by the time we drove home, it was 10:30 PM. I volunteered to do all of Audrey's morning chores, such as driving Melissa to school and walking our family dog--she was very pleased with me to do this, since the flight lasted almost 24 hours (when you include her stop-over in Paris for changing planes) ... she is completely exhausted and appreciates getting as much sleep as possible.

From what she said, she had a great time and never once felt in danger ... she even got to ride a camel in the Arab section of Jerusalem. Overall, her confidence level in me has risen since she came home to a clean house with no dirty dishes or dirty laundry ... well, I'm sorta of tired right now, so I'm gonna lay down for a while.

Check you all later,

Mark Smiler

Hello & Good Afternoon Guys

I woke up the other night in the middle of a fibro flare and did not get out of bed, until 3pm today. UGH! I really hate when they come so unexpected, I'm not able to get away from it, shove it aside or say I don't have time for a flare. I'm pretty weak feeling, a bit shakey and just all around yuk, but I wanted to stop by to see my friends.

A; Your sounding so with it and organized, I'm wanting to follow your lead and feel some organization myself, but a flare did not fit in my program. giggle

M; Having the house cleaned & in order for Audrey was so thoughtful and just what she needed to see. Goood Job buddy. So kind of you to do her chores, and let her sleep in after such a long flight. Very kind loving too.
I'm very thankful she had a nice visit and a safe trip home.

Chuck; I'm thinking about your wife and hoping she's doing alright. I'm sure your busy taking care of her. Your both in my prayers friend.

Well friends, I've got a few things to check on and I have about 200 emails to get through, so I better try to get caught up.

Luvs ya all
Gentle hugs
Betty

Greetings All,
Thought I'd stop by and let you guys know
that Bobbi's at home and doing fine. Quite sore
but, time will fix that for us.
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. You guys
are never far from my mind.
It'll take me 2 days to get over the chairs
they have in the waiting rooms, they have to be
the MOST uncomfortable chairs in the world.
I'm off to meds and the heat pad, I'll be back
in the morning. Mark, glad Audrey made it home safe and sound.
Chuck

Wow, all these adventures happening .. everyone has had their fair share of daily strengths and we survived ...

So happy to see everyone doing and thinking and feeling new emotions (or old in a new light) .. I think that is why we are an awesome foursome ..

Keep each other upp whne down, open minded to new ideas and old feelings of who are are .. we are survivors ....

I ditto each of your writings .. it is nice to have a team on your side .. it is nice to hear that Audrey enjoyed and Mark you learned a new perspective ... Betty , thanks , you are my encouragement , and I know you will be okay ... Chuck , I was nervous there for a bit , but glad you wrote to tell us that Bobbi is doing well .. and yes, most waiting room chairs for anyone are awful ... giggle ..

I have re-connected with another dear childhood friend , she is such an inspiration ... we shared the bad and good of the old days , but mostly the good ... her name is Robyn , and she moved away just prior to graduation from HS ..

She had quite the adventure , and so similar in deed and thought , although we were apart and grew in different areas , some were eerily similar ...

As an adult, a few years ago , she lost her arm and had quite a bit of bodily, and mental damage in a freak water scooter accident ...

It is quite the story and she received an honor for saving her neices life and campaigned for water safety on lakes in Virginia .. we had a wonderful talk , and tried to get in over 30 yrs. of missed history ...

I loved her as a friend then, and still do .. we plan to get together in the near future .. I just hope I can control my emotions , but if I do cry , it will be bittersweet tears of love ...

Just when I feel like I am losing it, people come into my life and I realize that I am never alone ... and how much we share with others ..

I just want to say that I hope y'all don't get tired of my admiration for how far we have all come ... and how much I appreciate y'all, and feel love for y'all and do really care about each of you ..

Let's make this month a productive month .. and try to realize how fortunate we have it .. taking the good with the bad , and pray that the good will always prevail, and the bad be just a blip on our screens ...

So, GOOD MORNING , this rainy , stormy day .. praise God as we needed the rain for the dry climate , and I am going to make the best of whatever comes my way ...

Love - A

Good Morning All,
Hope you had a rest-full night. I slept like a rock til
my usual 530 still feeling the chairs from the hospital.
After morning meds it's some better.
Adrian, it's cool to find a friend from the past.
Especially, when that friend brings good memories.
I hope you guys can get together and renew that
friendship. Sounds like your preparations for your
move are about complete, I'm glad it's coming through for
you.
Well, I'm off to the coffee pot I'll check back a lil later.
Chuck

Good Morning friend

Gosh, I was gonna surprise you all and be the first to post, but I can't even be up at 5am and beat you early risers on the central & East coast. LOL

Crazy nights sleep or I should say NON SLEEP! I was up about a million times with a nervous bladder. I was out here at 3am and wondered if I should log on and get my post in then, before you all could post, but decided I needed to try and sleep, but the only time I dozed off, my little yorkie (in his kennel) decided to bark, just one time loud and the two dogs snuggled with me jumped and it starteld me awake. GRRRR!

Weird way to end a flare, My pain is down really low, I don't feel the morning fog and I'm actually feeling really well???? Eeker Roll Eyes That's weird and I'm wondering what will happen next.
I spent the whole night having nightmares, weird dreams, every time I dozed even slightly. Just like I did after Ry died. I did not get a full nights sleep after Ry passed for about 2 1/5 years, by that time I was really sick and could barely walk.
So I'm a little puzzled about this strange nights sleeping and I hope that I'm not going back into that faze again????? Just a weird situation, but I'm feeling fine and my flare is gone! So yeah!

I think I'll run down and get Helen her groceries today and get her meds set back up for her. I have a couple of other stops I'd like to make, but we'll see how it goes.

I too am really happy that Bobby is doing alright, I was getting a little worried too. those waiting room chairs are so bad that when you go in with the flu, you come out with spinal problems. My pain clinic chairs are about the worst too. Just amazes me! You'd think with all the spinal patients, they'd have some of those ergonomic chairs for us to sit in. LOL

Friends from the past? I'm really glad that you've reconnected with an old friend. I've never left our home town, so some of my class mates I see every day or at least every day I go to town. There are alot of us who've never left. Weird Huh? We're an adventurous Bunch LOL

I hope Chucks back gets straitened out from his long hours in the waiting room, Take it easy buddy.

Mark; I'm hoping you have a nice day too. Is Audrey still on vacation?? if so, maybe shes up for a bike ride in the park Big Grin Rock Creek I do believe.

Take Care & good morning special friends
Betty

ps, it's a first, I'm done with my am post before 7am.

Good Morning All,

Betty, thanks for starting our day.

I was without power for almost 24 hours due to a huge storm that came rambling though the metro DC area but my power is finally back.

Audrey is off from work and I'm sure that she'd like to go bicycling in Rock Creek Park but I need to buy her a new bike first, which means that I'll need to have her agree with me on buying her one since she's already complained to me about spending too much money on her for gifts.

She's already complaining about the Lyrica since I picked her up at the airport ... she claims that I look drugged up ... ah, what to do? (since I'm already on a low dose).

Hi - Mark , just talk with her calmly .. just ask that she be patient, as it is a process, and she is just concerned for your safety ..

She can go on line with you and read the info on what you and your doc are attempting to do , and it is better choice than morphine .. so explain how much less harmful and how while it doesn't take away your pain etc. totally , the doctor suggested it , as I remember she agreed that it sounded as you did have FM and I am sure once she gets attuned to your new behavior , and gets rested up, she will come around ..

Hope it works out .. really, I wish I could tell her how proud she shoudl be of how far you have come on tis journey , and not to be so scared for you , if we don't try , we lose out or may lose out ..

If she wants her Mark back, it is not the same Mark, so adapting to a new Mark, a positive Mark, a responsive Mark , and compromise is needed and understanding .. I will pray she sees that, I am sending her these vibes as I write ...

Anyway, I think you are doing well, and sound confident .. so be understanding and patient as she misses the old Mark .. peace bro - A

Greetings All,
Man is it hot here in southern ky!,
we hit the 90's today.
Mark, I saw where you guys had some serious
thunder boomers in your neck of the woods, tore
up some real estate in several places.
I think Adrian was right on about the Lyrica,
hope fully time and patience and she'll
understand. I hate being without power!
I'm addicted to tricity!
Betty, glad you were feeling well. Even if
it was under strange circumstances.
You know it's funny even after all this time
(over30 yrs) i still have night mares of the accident when my mom was killed and the trauma
that followed. It seemed to happen more when
I', really fatigued or stressed. But, I relive it sometimes. It's kind a funny cause i rarely
remember dreams at all. Hopefully tonite you'll not have to fight the insomnia monster..
Oh, i was wondered if you'd heard anything on your case??
Adrian, glad you had a nice day. I love chicken wings, also one of my specialties.I take it you're ready for the trip to the sunshine state.??
Bobbi's doing good. Really sore as we can well Imagine, I think it gave her a new respect for chronic pain and the side effects of narcotics.
Neither one of us were ever really sick other than the flu stuff like that. We were talking to day and she said "at least mine will go away", she's always been very supportive but, now I think she has a new level of understanding. I am glad that her pain will go away with time, I wouldn't her to half to deal with what I (we) deal with from now on.
On that note I'm headed to the recliner and a new James patterson novel.
Night all
Chuck

Happy TGIF All,

the storms on Wednesday covered Virgina, Maryland, West Virginia, and DC. When one state is hit. the power companies from the other states usually send crews in to the state that needs help but it was every state for themselves this week. With 100,000 homes without power just in my county, I was one of the lucky ones to get back onto the grid early while 60,000 homes still had no power. Sitting around in the candle light is not what it's cracked up to be--I'm too addicted to electricity to go without it.
