Good Morning Friends

I'm up earlier today. Hubbies off and going to be home with me today and this evening, so I'm really happy about that. He's been working a shift from 10am to midnight and it sometimes gets too me, on top of the fatigue from running Helen's errands on Tuesday. I just don't have the energy reserve that I used to and sometimes feels like I have nothing to spare.

today I plan to get dressed here soon and just doing some small chores around here. Hubbies going over to Costco and pick up a few items, but he'll come home and he's supposed to take it easy for a few days, but he leaves for Seattle with his Dad & will meet our son up ther to go to the State championship High school basket ball tournament. It's kind of yearly thing for the 3 generations to go for the weekend every year. I hope I feel good for the weekend, I hate being alone and not feeling very well. I really want to guys to have fun though. I'm supposed to go to dinner with my mil, 2 sil's and a niece. So I hope that will turn out nice too. I just hope I feel well enough and don't have to cancel.

Well, I'll be around all day, if you ring me and I don't answer right away, it's just cause I stepped away for a few minutes.

I hope your all having a low/no pain day, mines alright and pretty low, I'm just trying to muster some energy and get something constructive done

Hugs
Betty

Good Afternoon pain gang

I'm having a pretty good day today afterall. It was a slow start, but once I gave the meds time to take effect, I was up dressed and have actually got some things done around here. Hoping that I'll not have to pay tonight or tomorrow for my little bit of chores. I think the key to all of us if for Betty to understand that she cant clean her house all in one day as I did once upon a time. Once I get started I just dig in and before I know it my pain is ramping and I just wana get one last thing done or that next room done and I wont stop and settle for getting a portion of the house done. So today I have concentrated on doing one chore, sitting down for rest time, then doing another and sitting down for a bit, then another, you get the point. When I get going on something, I normally don't stop until the pain makes me stop. So today I focused on doing my chore and stopping with out the pain climbing at all. It's really tough for me to do that and I think it's going to take a while. But time will tell and if I dont suffer all evening or tomorrow, then I will know that this is what I have to do. My back is feeling tired and a little weak right now, so I think I'll spend the rest of the afternoon messing around here on my puter, napping in my recliner or just reading. I've got more done than normal and that should be good for today. Although I'm feeling this dreadful urge to go take all my knick knacks off a couple of shevles and walking & dusting everything off and rearrange them, I'm going to force myself to wait for another day. Frowner

Well, I hope the snow & cold temps don't have you all in severe pain today. I thought maybe I heard Chuck fly over, as I heard a low plane and the dogs barked at it. Some times military copters go over the top of our mountain area, there has been those types of farmers who grow things they want to take pictures at and then the sheriffs booth at the fair displays these farmers gardens as conquests from the past year. Why bother any more??? I'd rather they come up with somthing to detect labs in peoples homes than the farmers. (((((( Smile)))))) just my humble opinion for the day. Roll Eyes

Have a good night guys, I'll be signed in here the rest of the evening, so if you wanna say Hey! I'm here. Just ring!
ps; Adrian called me and made my puter ring like a phone today, she had me looking all over the place for my cell? LOl Just kiddding, but it was the first thing that went through my mind. LOL

Talk at ya later. Hugs & love
Betty

Well, I had a whole thing typed up and I bumped the mouse pad thing and it cleared my screen.

So I was just gonna say good night friends. I ended up icing my back and taking something for BT and every thing seems fine for now. Hopefully it will not bother me tonight or tomorrow any. I had stopped for an hour or so when the pain creeped up and that was kind of odd for me, but oh well.

Goood night friends, see you tomorrrow

Happy Friday Pain Gang!

Thurday was a very busy day for me ... Melissa ia on the mend and she'll be returning to school part time on Monday.

My dog, however, was having convulsions, and I took him to the animal hospital ... he has some type of liver infection ... they gave him a shot and sold me a bag of meds to give him around the clock.

Now, I have 3 patients: Melissa, my dog (Chappie), and myself.

Had a great live Video Conferemce with Adrian ... it was so nice to see and speak to you (Adrian) ... I look forward to doing it again, as planned, and whenever else we do it ... I wish that we all could do it instead of type on Sunday night.

I went to my 2nd Chemical Depemdemcy Meeting (CDA) and the topic was "the feeling of isolation," a topic that I really could relate to.

BTW: I had good luck at the Toyota dealership ... they replaced all 4 tires on the SUV at 1/2 price of what they pay.

Gotta go drug up Melissa and Chappy and me [LOL].

Well, good morning everyone from snowy Santa Fe , NM .. giggle .. ooh yea, I feel the effects of shoveling that snow ..

Chuck, hopefully it own't be too bad for you .. and Betty , after all you have gone thru to ease your pain .. have you found another pcp , did you ask your current one for names ?

I am gonna be your "pain in the arse" until you do .. my mom should be getting set for her heart surgery , big bro is there so if anything, I would think he would call ..

Chuck I thought your laptop came with ? I am afraid to send you off to wallyworld .. lol .. but you can check online prices for compatible mics & cams .. not as expensive anymore , of course now they have a glut of old and new ... I would just get the least expensive, that is what one tech from Dell told me about the wireless connector .. he saved me some money, they wanted X and he said between you and me, get the least expensive, but with medium strength , so I went to wallyworld , after comparing to staples .. anyway .. hope you have another great day today ..

Mark, admit it, you are having too much fun being nurse .. at least you have people and pups now to take care of .. and am happy that the meetings are doing you well .. always liked group sessions better than one on one , so much more input .. and sometimes i would walk away thinking that i am really not all that bad off ...

Okay, will leave this up , I think both computers are on , and I am getting a bit frustrated as to why I cannot open the downloaded pics from the one site to the other .. but y'all know me, I will figure it out .. giggle ..

Wishing you all a calm day , and peaceful thoughts .. adrian

Hi all again,

looks like we'll get the storm as rain instead of snow in metro wash dc.

Chuck, I forgot to answer your question re: Melissa's antibiotics ... she's doing very well on the amoxicillin pills ... plus, she's taking Zantac for acid reflux and that's helped her appetite increase big time.

Adrian, I'm having the time of my life being a nurse ...HA, HA, HA (try to imagine me really laughing, since you now know what that sounds like). Thanks for your compliment re: Audrey!

Betty, I agree with Adrian about getting your ducks in a row for selecting a new primary care doc ... (I hope I'm not offending here).

Talk to you all later.

Adrian, I 'll see you and talk to you this morning ... live video chat is really awesome! ... I really hope that our group can all do it ... do you think that being on dial-up will hinder the set up for those of us on dial-up ... if you're on dial-up, then I've answered my own question [LOL].

Have a great lo-pain day all!

Alright, I just typed up an AM message to ya'all, and the dumb site timed out and I lost my whole thing. I swear that's irritating.

Hello Friends

I'm up early this am and my pain was about a 3, but took my meds and I'm down to nearly 1. I'm feeling pretty well and since I'm feeling good, this is a good weekend for my hubby to be gone and leave me on my own. I hope they have a nice & safe time together.

I'm really happy to hear that sweet Melissa is doing better, I bet she's really wanting to go back to school and see her friends. Sorry to hear about your doggie. What did they say was wrong with him? Sounds like your going to have a busy weekend taking care of doggie & daughter & self. I hope you don't wear your self out.

Chuck; Hows the temps today? I hope you get some of our mild weather. It's really been nice. Not too cold and just a bit of nip in the air, I think I can handle all this just fine.

Adrain; Aka Ms. Techy! Sounds like you got your whole system set up and going strong. How fun! I'm gonna make a few calls and see what I can come up with on some type of satelite connection. I can atleast figure out how much I need to spend and if It will be possible in the near future. I'm really sick of not being able to do all the fun things everyone else does. I think I'm going to try hooking my puter cam to my lap top, just so I can be ready or if I take my puter somewhere I could possibly do it.
My mom has wireless at her house and I could possibly go there and work with it. I just have not felt well enough to mess with it yet. Hopefully I'll be better and this feeling of wellness will continue for a spell.

Well guys, I better go get dressed and make a decision on what I'm going to do today. You all have a nice Friday, I've got to go figure out what groceries I need and go get them. It's friday so Fish for me tonight. I'm just not sure what I want right now. I could go vegitarian too. Just no meat today.

I'll squak at ya all later.
Hugs
Betty

Good Evening Gang,

Chuck,I'm sorry to hear that your pain level is so high ... please take it slow ... My Mr. Mom work has been successful with Melissa and my little dog, Chappie [LOL].

Betty, thanks for your kind words again re: "Sweet Melissa." She is doing well and is looking forward to getting back into a school routine.

Hi Adrian, I hope that you are feeling good tonight ... you seem to be utilizing the same skills that you learned in the business world to manage your pain as best as you can. We can all learn from you.

The nasty weather here in Metro DC seems to be raising my pain level but I'm dealing as well as I can with it.

Have a great night all,

Mark Smiler
