Well, I had an appt today with my PMC. They'd gotten back the results of my hormonal tests. Looks like I'm going to be trying hormonal therapy along w/ all the other good stuff. They are hoping that it will help with my depression and aching and lack of energy, oh and to also help me get into a deeper healing sleep mode without the bruxism. I'll be using a Progesterone cream, along with a repletion of DHEA, and Vitamin D3 along with my current multivitamin daily. I have to say I really do like this hormonal therapist that I'm seeing. She may be new to the clinic but I've seen her twice now and she always makes time for me. She has also suggested that I see a psychiatrist for my depression, panic attacks, anxiety, and my again newly founded suicidal thoughts. It's so very nice to have doctors that care and make time for you and say call anytime that you need me. I'm really crossing my fingers on this one, that this therapy will help my depression and bring me out of my "darkspell" to help me deal with my chronic pain better. As for now, the kidney infection is all better.....I think the flu is almost gone, but the migraines have been horrible. Eh, can't win 'em all I guess. I am having a down time and have had for the past few weeks, so I wouldn't mind a few prayers or positive energy thrown my way. Whichever way you choose to believe. I'm not picky! I'll take whatever I can get. LOL Take Care,

I may have mentioned it before, so if I'm repeating, bear w/ me... In December I was diagnosed w/ PMDD (Premenstrual Disorder).. It's a severe case of PMS and women that have it have rages of anger, fits of sadness etc. It's far worse than PMS and really is handicapping..I was diagnosed via charting of cycles, emotions etc... After diagnosis, I was put on Yaz, it's a LOW dose birthcontrol that helps to stabilize the hormones in ones body thru each month... Leading up to the diagnosis I was lost (as Nicole can attest to, thank you sweetie for being there for me at my lowest), ready to go to a psych ward etc because the fits of anger were too much to handle w/ my high profile job... But Yaz has given me serenity, calmness and a sense of happiness...
My point in sharing - there is help out there. What you are doing is great and I hope it helps you like it's helped me... I can say going into the 3rd month of Yaz, I feel like the OLD ME!!!
I hope your new treatment gives you some relief and you start feeling a lot better soon. Let us know how you're doing!
Hugs,
Bekah

I just love my TMJ Family Thanks Gang for all the support. Just started the treatments tonight and I'll be sure to keep you updated. Tami: I'm glad to hear you found something that works for you and that you have the "old you" back No offense hehehe I myself went off BC because they were making my migraines so much worse, of course I've had hormonal migraines since I was 14. I'm really trying hard to keep a positive attitude that this will work, it's hard after so many meds with no help. But at least this route is something that no one has even bothered with before. Keeping my fingers crossed! Love, Chrissy

I'm so interested to hear how the hormone therapy helps. Hopefully it will help cut down the migraines, inflamation and just make you feel good, peaceful. I have terrible PMS and have always wondered if somehow the inflammation around high hormone times doesn't just wreak havoc with the jaw joints too. Do you take any antidepressant to help with your hardest times of the month? I was taking Paxil and it helped the PMS - but then I found out it can contribute to clenching, so I came off.
It sounds like you're really suffering and I want to wish you the best getting through this hard time.
