Hello, I am new to this so I will just start by saying that I would greatly appreciate some ideas on dealing with tennis elbow and tendonitis from others who have this.

Welcome to ChronicPainConnection. I get tennis elbow from time to time and the only thing that has ever helped me is to use a special wrap on my forearm, about 2" below my elbow. It prevents my elbow from being irritated further whenever I use my hands or pick something up because it stops the action of the muscles and ligaments at the wrap. Giving my elbow this rest for a few days usually takes care of it. There are a variety of types of wraps available. Here's a link to one just to give you an idea of what I'm talking about. Tennis Elbow Wrap I've never purchased anything from this particular company so I'm not recommending them – it's just a good picture of what I'm describing.

Have you seen a doctor about your tennis elbow? If it's really inflamed, he/she might recommend an anti-inflammatory or other treatment. But even with other treatments, this wrap does a great job of resting your elbow so it can heal.

Good luck! Please let us know how you're doing.

Hello didee - welcome, hope Karen was able to help you, I know it helped me .. I picked up a wrist wrap after reading this as that is what is in chronic agony , giggle, evryday .. it helps ... but you have to get used to it .. since it is the tendons and muscles and joint on thethumb and surrounding areas , like a hot oker into my palm , I use it as often as possible ..

Thanks Karen, this was a great answer, me, duh, I never thought of that ... thanks alot !
