I work for the YWCA's ENCOREplus program, and we offer 2 breast cancer screenings every month free of charge for women without insurance! I'm trying to get the word out to women who are medically underserved in the Baton Rouge community.
If anyone would like more information on these free mammograms, please respond to this post, and I will be happy to give you more information.
We are sponsored by Woman's Hospital and the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, so all mammograms, clinical breast exams, and follow-up appointments are free of charge to women with little or no insurance!
THANKS EVERYONE!

I would like information on receiving free mammograms, or any other free female medical services. I do not have insurance.

hey there..

I have found a lump in my breast on a recent self exam.. I have no insurance. I have had Lung cancer and my right upper lobe removed on August 24, 2005..
I really would like to see about this and soon... It is a little scary. I also have recently moved back to Baton Rouge after a 19 year absence..
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Loree

Hi Loree,

Testing is in order now that you think you've found a lump in your breast. Please see:

http://www.healthcentral.com/breast-cancer/c/78/15110/faqs-women/

You can contact these organizations for more information on their free services offered in your area.

Best,
Maria
