Does anyone feel the effects of a full moon? I get a big energy spike at those times. It happens often enough that I know it's a factor for me. My wife recognizes it also, and sometimes comments about my behavior being a function of the full moon before I recognize it.
But one funny thing, the last full moon was also a lunar eclipse. I experienced a significant depression that peaked right then.
Anyone else? Is there anything to this, or is it a self-fulfilling thing?

Hi, Greg. In my first marriage, our worst fights inevitably coincided with a full moon. I would storm out of the house only to look up at at an over-sized silvery pizza hovering above me like a flying saucer. It got so bad that my ex-wife actually bought a calender that featured the phases of the moon. Then we knew to stay out of each other's hair. Didn't save the marriage, though ..
Check out my bipolar articles and blog on HealthCentral.
Not sure about the full moon myself though a friend who is a psychiatric nurse told me that there is always more disruption on the ward at that time. For me it was always Wednesday - my ex husband and I always rowed on a Wednesday. Come to think of it - yesterday was Wednesday and I got terrifically emotional when my current partner was going out to work! Maybe that Wednesday thing is me rather than the ex as I always insisted!

Virginia - That's interesting. If you think about it, we are really not that many generations removed from a world where we were a part of nature, not trying to "manage" nature. Part of the food chain, and completely subject to the ebb and flow of seasons, tides, moon phases, and other factors. Our isolation from that in today's world can't completely remove thousands of years of conditioning. Or can it?
