I have been on Lamictal now for almost 2 months. Im not up to my Therapeutic dose yet (325 mg) But my blood pressure has gone up and I almost always feel nervous/anxiety inside of me. Sometimes I feel like I cant take it anymore. Should I stop taking it, or tough it out till I get to my therapeutic dose?.....Thanks in advance.

Why don't you call your pdoc and ask? Although, for me, any time I've ever taken a medication for anything, if it makes me feel yucky right away, I've always discontinued it. I'm not BP, though. I would imagine that you are not reacting well to this particular med and there are others you can try. Many times a pdoc may keep you on something until the the therapeutic dosage is reached and then re-evaluate. I happen to disagree with this. You don't know which companies have contracted with your pdoc to prescribe a certain amount of their particular medication in exchange for an upfront bonus. (It's done routinely, although no one will admit to it).

A friend of mine was put on Zoloft for depression and it make her violently ill after a few days and her pdoc refused to do anything until she had been on it for the full 3 weeks. She stopped taking it, changed pdocs and the new one put her on a combination of things which made her feel better the very next day AND, the new pdoc even gave her samples so she didn't need to buy anything!

Don't let the doc "pull rank" on you. Only YOU know how it's making YOU feel. It's your body, your decision. Personally, if something was making me sick, I'd go off of it, no matter what the doc says. Then, go pdoc shopping and ask questions about meds and find yourself one who listens to YOU, not the drug rep or what's written in some medical journal.
