My husband of 26 years had a severe manic attack after his surgery a few weeks ago. I went home after work last Tuesday and he was gone. He bought a car on the credit card and took off for Las Vegas. He charged over 10,000.00 in 3 days (he charged and car and other things)on his way to Las Vegas. My question is, am I responsible for all his dept while he is in this Manic stage. He will apply for a divorce in Nevada after he resides there for 6 weeks? I reside in Florida. It scares me that he will spend our entire savings and leave me with nothing. Does anyone know the laws or what I can do to protect my retirement money? I am 59 years old. Thank you.
