Hello Christian,
No, I am nowhere near you. I live in the big sky country of Montana! But hey, who ever said a little distance meant we couldn't talk to each other?
I've been diagnosed with bipolar disorder since June, 1982. I was on Lithium for ten years and then was on Tegretol and Depakote off and on for years. Now, I am on Lamictal, Cymbalta and Seroquel (I was on Risperdal but my doctor recently changed it to Seroquel). I haven't had a chance to see how the Seroquel works, since I was just put on it.
I am presently a 51-year old widowed mom of a 16-year old son. I am on short-term disability right now, and my future in the working world is uncertain at this point in time. I get pretty severe panic attacks when thinking about going back to work, so my doctor and I are still discussing the possibilities.
The closest I have ever been to South Jersey was when I lived in South Hero, Vermont. My son was born in Burlington, Vermont and we lived there for about a year.
Here's hoping you have a peaceful, relaxing day,
Kay

Big Sky---hope u read this!Christian, I hope u find someone from your area. I'm from Colorado. Anyway, I wanted to ask the young lady from Montana if she knows how Bozeman is. My youngest (18) is trying to decide on MSU or Colorado State and I think Montana would be better for his major (zoology/wildlife biology-specifically wolves/bears). Is MSU a pretty good school? It was very nice on our visit.
BTW, I am also 51 and diagnosed bp now....6 years ago. Had a pretty rough time at first and this last winter was my best yet. Do you have SAD as well? I have it pretty bad but my new "cocktail" seemed to help, that and therapy lights. I thought about moving north because it's so pretty there but don't think I could take darker/colder winters than Colorado. I guess I may have to go south actually! I hope u get this... Pay
