I did quit my Lithium because after 6 months it just wasn't doing anything for me and I wasn't on anything but that and the Clonazepam for sleep.
Problem is I am still not able to sleep well, still taking 3-4 hour naps during the day, (I did try for a several days not to nap in the hopes that I could sleep and still didn't sleep well), and I am still having the rage/itchy/agitated feelings along with the crying/sobbing spells as I had before I left Lithum. YET I am not suicidal at the moment so I consider that an improvement.
Next week I am to start a new full time job and haven't worked 40 hours since February. So on top of all the other stress and anxiety I've been having lately, now I have to start a new job, be perky, and stay awake. In addition, to finding time to have Dr. appointments, therapy, and what not while on a probation with no time accrual.
Since no one has posted anything since the 9th, I thought I post to see if anyone had any suggestions or advice to give.
Starting a new job is always scary, so I feel for what you are going through. Sounds like you'd better stop napping during the day in order to train yourself to stay awake then and sleep at night (not easy, I know). Hope you can get in a better groove before next week.
Outside of that, I'd say take it easy on yourself as far as other responsibilities go--just get to work and be happy you accomplished that. Eating well is important, too, so have healthy snacks with you for energy pick-ups.
Sleeping always seems to be one of the toughest things to conquer because we can never count on it, but I hope you can get into some better patterns before the job starts.
