My Wife has BiPolar, PTSD and severe despression. About a week and a half ago she was feeling suicidal and checked herself into the hospital. She just got out of the hospital about a week ago and the doctor prescribed her on Welbutrin, Trileptin, Trazedone, and Lamictal. The thing is that she is a totally different person. She said that she wants to go back into the hospital because they have structure there. I haven't seen her smile once since she got out. She is extermely irritable. I don't know what is wrong with her and I am extermely scared. Could this be her medication? Does anyone else go through this? Please help.
My girlfriend was taking the welbutrin and the lamictal. Neither were working for her. The lamictal made her moods last longer but there was always a depressed undercurrent there. It bothered her immensely. I don't know if it's the meds or not, I do know that the trial and error of figuring out the right doses can be very frustrating both for your wife and for yourself. Good luck.
