Bipolar Depression

the last 2 days i have been talking to hubby on the fone and he thinks he is ok, he is has finished his section but is there voluntarily and he wants to come home. he was diagnosed 5 weeks ago but it took them 10 yrs to do it! I am afraid that if he comes home 2 early b4 the they have stabilised him that he will hav a relapse and get sectioned again. He says that i am manic and that he shouldnt b there now and that hes okay but i can see that he isnt although he is 70% bak to his normal self and i see a vast improvement evry time i visit him which is twice a week as he is 4 hrs away. He says he is depressed but fr wot i av read could he still b manic but in a different way, hes very irritable and really thinks he is ok and says the only thing wrong is that he is depressed bein in there. I love this man with all my heart and want to stand by him thru this terrible illness but i am scared that he comes out to soon. I want to go over there and hold him in my arms but i have children. The staff are terrible i have witnessed it but it is still early days for his treatment he has been on lithium for 2 weeks. And if he comes home he said he needs to make some money and i know he will b doin all his deals but if he was depressed wud e b bothered to do the deals can this b a sort of mania? By the way reading all your posts has given me great insight in2 this cruel illness and it seems as hard if not harder on the loved ones.
