Bipolar Depression

husband is cycle cycle depressed then mania with beer and strippers then depressed then just drunk and asked for a divorce. I told him he had pulled away from me many years earlier. He had a head injury on the frontal lobe. gives an excuse to not feel. but he did feel for his horse that got hurt and might die. but to ask for a divorce after I told him he does not appear to love me in the sexual way no feelings for US. blames the head injury/cognitive d/o nos. i want sex he doesn't & blames the meds. i get tired of it all. I asked him to go live with his son for a month and really THINK about where our relationship is after 20 years. He won't go.I just want a rest from it all.

Hi, I know exactly how you feel, and you are not alone. I have only been with my Bipolar husband for 5 years but my experiences have been quite similar. You never get what you need or want and yes it's tiring. My husband and I go to Court next Monday morning, as I'm still trying to get him help. DIVORCE is the buzz word for us at the moment and you know what? I'm fed up and tired too. All my friends are telling me to leave, I don't want to but I might have to and you should consider the same. You can't live your life in a constant state of exhaustion. You can still love your husband like I do but we all have to love ourselves more. Take Care of yourself.
