My SO (former I think) is scheduled for surgery soon (somwhat major) and has been very stressed out about it for a month or two. Three weeks ago he left. He's been partying and having a grand ol time with "friends" that don't know his DX. I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with someone whos in a manic or hypomanic episode having surgery w/ anesthia. What affect, if any, does the anesthsia have on their state? Does it make it worse? I need to know so I can let his doc know what's going on prior to surgery.
