Does anyone know how to determine the true personality of a Bi-polar? Police deal with Bi-polar people, schizophrenia, Pshychpaths and all kinds of mental health cases. Many are non medicated, some not treated at all, yet some of these horror stories of manic episodes do not measure up to others. I guess what I am getting at, could it be really true that maybe some of these people that commit to violence, crime, stealing, lying, plain cold hearted actions, etc are really portraying their true personality and not their mental health? Please help me understand.
Bubba, you must understand, bipolar or not she is using drugs, you have to take that into consideration as well.. you are not dealing with someone with a rational thought process and as for the police knowing people are bipolar etc... the jails are filled with people with illnesses and there is a reloving door to the prisons because no one recognizes mental illness.. if they would help these people instead of locking them up, maybe some would be able to live a clean life.. I did a thesis on this and the stats are ridiculous how many people need help.. I am not saying there are not criminals that need to be locked away, i am just saying that policeman are not doctors, just like we are not.. and you know she is bipolar, i know its hard to see the woman you loved going back and forth to be loving and then cruel... I really dont believe there are too many people out there that like to be cruel.. oh there are mean cruel people, but you know your spouse, take it one day at a time, and remember bp, drugs, or whatever right now she is not the woman you want to be around.
