Hi, I am a 24 yr old female that is bp. I was diagnosed after having my child. Here is my story. I had depression for a couple of years before I turned 20. Mild depression. Then I got pregnant. During my pregnancy I became very active, cleaning and cleaning, very obsessive. After having my son, I became very angry and crying all the time. The doctors told me I had psychotic depression and Post partum psychosis because I wanted to kill myself. I was put in a hospital for over a month and then in and out for a year. During that course, I had electroshocks to my brain (i forget what they are really called) but i had 6 treatments. I was put on over 27 different medications to control me. I felt so "stoned". Anyways, things lightened up and I was back to normal again with the help of medications. Now I am back to crying and severe irritation and anger. I feel like hurting someone. My body is aching, sharp pains and I dont know what to do. My son is listening to all the yelling im doin to my boyfriend and its not fair. I dont really yell at him unless he does something that deserves it but i am CONSTANTLY yelling at my boyfriend for little things and if i feel cramped sitting on the couch, i yell and complain. during the day my mood settles a bit but night time it comes back up. I have been diagnose with bipolar back in 2006. can someone help me?
