Hi im new here,im 23 years old, married, separated,etc.... i recently had like an attack(and ive always had those for a very long time and i didnt know what it was) and i left my boyfriend i was living with to go live with my family. I was under this like other me, you can say and wasnt able to express myself so i made everything sound like it was all his fault and that he really pissed me off and thats why i left, when really it wasnt that big...i just cant control my emotions, its either reaaaal high or reaaaaal low and noones been able to understand that or help for years. Now everyone finally understannds and want to help, even my boyfriend that i left but my family doesnt like him one bit because they think he didnt treat me well and when i explained it was my crazy reactions they still see me as their angel. It makes me happier when im with him even though sometimes we do fight and it just turns into something so huge because of how i feel but still im happier with him than with my family. i miss him and i want to be back with him but everyone is just too worried about my mental help and they want to control every second of my life and being with him is not an option to them. i have a psychiatrist appointment to put me on meds this friday. My family doesnt want me to work or go to school or do nothing until i get better, but what if it takes years?!?!?i want my bf to be able to help too, he wants in really bad...what do i do?!?!

Hi Feli,

what do you do? You are already doing it. You are taking responsibity for yourself. Follow through with your appointment, get the diagnosis and let's pray it's the right one, take the meds, have an indepth discussion with your doctor about med types, effects and dosage. Educate yourself as much as you can about your condition so that you can live life positively and to the fullest. Everyone, including family and the better half who are serious about helping you, need to be proactive for your well being and theirs. Take heart, take courage, the best is yet to come.
