I was reading that people with bi polar will adapted in other areas of there brain, and we do not see it because of our disease but we become quite brillant. It is true, not always shcool smart, but when somthing happens we can really think through it fast when we are not manic of course, but in the service I got through some sticky situation thinkint really fast for my brain was going ninty miles an hour. Just soemthing to think about.

It's a common characteristic of those who suffer from bipolar disorder. Personally I think the intelligence contributes to the disorder, rather than the other way around, but that's personal opinion. Nobody knows for sure.

I could see why that would be confusing, like the chicken before the egg thing. But on the up side most people that loose one of there five senses the otehr four become more alert and refined.

Good way of looking at it. When I'm manic, I feel like I can think quickly, rapid-fire, and I feel more articulate.
In one support group meeting, I mentioned that I hated to chop off a part of my brain because of the side effects of medication. I hate the idea of giving up a part of myself. But part of that may be a bad part.
