I am the mother of a 12 year old boy who was recently diagnosed with bipolar, aftering dealing with 2 years of excessive aggression, threatening other students and severe mood swings. He is now in the 7th grade and was just released from a treatment facility where he was placed after threatening students and having a "list". The recommendations for him is to be placed into a therapeutic day school, the school says they can fulfill those needs for him. The problem is his "triggers" are the students at his school, (they do make fun of him consistently) Has anyone else had to deal with this situation at school?
