My question is whether any of you with acid reflux or GERD have had any trouble with reflux when using a liquid prep (like Nulytely or a similar product) for a colonoscopy. I need to have one done, but am worried about the prep because most of those contain a lot of salt and salty things usually trigger reflux for me. I'm more worried about having reflux from the prep than about the procedure itself.

Have any of you with reflux had a colonoscopy? Did the prep give you reflux? Not looking forward to this and could use some advice.

When I first got reflux I had an xray to find I was completely blocked I took that med is it a drink to clean you out? It did not bother my reflux I think it made it better it cleans out your stomach of that gunk.

Sounds like the kind of attacks I have except yours are more severe. I have been on Pepcid for 2 years and we just changed to Previcid.

Today I have had foor nighttime and five daytime attacks. Don't know what I ate, but, it has caused havoc.

I agree it is not fun. I have had it off and on for 20 years. But Drs did not identify it as acid reflux. My symptoms were so varied they just labled it anxiety.I have always had bowel symptoms with mine. Uncontorable urge to evacuate, nasuea, vomiting, impending doom, weakness.I finally did enough research to identify it as acid reflux. I wish I had some words of wisdom. Lexpo help but there is always a trade off. I am an RN 30 years of experience so I know the treatments out there but they are also seeing an increase in cancer of the stomach and esohagus since heavy use of medications that supress the acid. The bowel issues were the worst and drove me to the Lexpo. Prilosec, did nothing, Nexium works but acit reflux came back when I weaned myself off after the 14 day treatment. I am now trying bland diet, exercise, medication once a day and message once a wk. 1 teaspoon of honey does wonders for me. But every one differnet. I try not to eat after 5pm. if it gets late I just do not eat. Still will have the acid tast my mouth in the morning and pluggled sinsus. So it is an ugly disease process. Exercise and deep breaths can sometimes curtial the progress of the anxiety. I take fiber supplemnts to prevent the constipation/diarrea that can go with it. Than has helped. I am suppose to take a lot of supplements for heart disease but the supplements give me acid reflux too. I am going to get an stomach PH test to see if I have too much acid or too little and them may know what to treat with!

Hello all,

I am so sorry to hear all of these stories and how you all have suffered. I dealt with acid reflux for many years and my father has had it worse than me. We were on Nexium for a long time and my father tried to get off of it but found himself back on it because he could not take the symptoms. I just tried this new product and trust me, I am not a spammer. I will not even put the url here. It is aloe based and it has really changed my life. I am a masters student in holistic nutrition and have 10 years of experience as a chemist in the vitamin/pharmaceutical industry. I have heavily researched the product as I do anything I put in my mouth. I take a double dose and it has soothed my entire digestive tract. I am so pleased with the results that I have to share.
Yes, I do sell the product, and I only do so because of the results. I am not a salesperson, nor do I like people who try to sell me things they don't believe in or take themselves. I normally don't do this but I want to get the word out.
If anyone wants any more info, they can email me at jen.biometics@yahoo.com. If not, it is fine.
I hope you all feel better soon. It is a terrible thing to have to deal with.
God Bless,
Jenna

Acid reflux and heartburn is so easy to cure naturally without any of those expensive drugs and the side affects that hurt so many of there users.

I suffered with if for years until I found the "Acid Reflux Diet". Since then I have lived pain FREE.

The only time I have a problem now is when I eat something I know I am not suppose to eat.
