I've had this recurring condition for several years now (I'm 28). Basically what it seems like to me is some sort of irregular muscle contraction in my esophagus right around whenever I start eating. It happens more often when I have caffeine (yes I know this is common of acid reflux), but I think my affliction is different from most others' because it seems to come ONLY WHILE I'm eating, never afterwards. It builds up and gets more painful, it's as if acid is building up and if I swallow, it gets worse. It comes in waves if it doesn't go away on the first build up. My esophagus makes a weird gurgling sound sometimes when it builds up and fails to pass. When it passes, it builds up and then it is gone in a flash. It's a very strange affliction, and I'm really desperate for some advice because I don't think it is standard GERD. Any advice would really be appreciated, thank you!
